Image of Nursing
I believe this image is a representation of what it means to work as a nurse and provide care for other people because without a team of people in which you must have trust and faith in, there is no possibly way anyone could provide full and attentive care to the person in need of such. without a team, there are many complexities that occur such as scrambling to help other patients or helping other nurses that may need assistance. in the field of nursing, complexities occur on a daily and without a trusted relationship with other people, the effectiveness of a team diminishes and is almost dangerous to other people. In conclusion having an established relationship with the people around you and creating a comfortable environment is best for a stable work environment especially when working in health care. This image is able to describe why I want to be a nurse because I am able to work with a team and provide care for someone knowing we are going to make them better than when they first walked in.

As a former athlete myself, I admire the parallel you see in real life examples many of us future nurses have encountered by being part of a team and the profession we are pursing. Nursing is truly a career free of self-isolation, so coming into the field knowing the responsibility we will each contribute to a team is setting a foundation for success in healthcare. Mindset is everything when it comes to critical thinking and providing care to others, therefore, realizing that we are not in this alone attributes to your maturity in seeking a team based profession. Nursing is very often portrayed by the media as a profession that revolves around teamwork, in which I think your image choice perfectly represents.
I like that you went for a teamwork aspect not a personal reflection on why you decided to go into nursing. As you said above working as a nurse is a job that requires team work, without it you can hardly do anything. Most people see nursing as a team, not just a team of nurses, but all medical professionals that walk into the patient’s room. Especially in the more high risk areas like the emergency room nurses are constantly asking each other questions about diagnosis and treatments.
