Summary of Spring Break Podcast.
For this assignment we are expected to tell a story through a list. I interpret this as a sequential order of events over a long period of time, summed up into bullet points but expressed in the form of a story. I enjoyed this task because we were able to have freedom with what we were to speak about and how long we talked about that specific subject for. This assignment also allowed for students to play around with different lengths of the story from start to finish whether the story was a one day event or took place over the course of several days such as the spring break we are all just now returning from. I believe this assignment was made easier by having spring break and being able to make a story outside of what was going on when living on campus. I feel as if most of the podcasts we have made have been when living on campus and although there is a great amount of freedom on campus, some activities are simply much more difficult to facilitate as opposed to when someone is living in an environment they are used to and have been comfortable in and around the people in that specific environment. As we as people and people in a podcasting class, I believe the importance of drive and willingness to succeed is just as much a mental thing as it is when you’re physically doing the work to be successful. When it comes down to it all in the end it truly is all up to you. I was excited to work on this project and “create my own story” over the course of several days during break. In conclusion everyone’s story is different, but it’s up to you on how creative you are with yours.
