Reflection on Final for Podcasting
When thinking about the final project, we had been tasked to compose five podcasts and create transitions in between each podcast. I had found this interesting and wondered how I was going to compose each of these transitions but at the same time was eager to work with them. First I had taken a few of my sampled podcasts and listened to them over again to make sure I had the five I wanted to use, or so I thought. The original five I had chosen have shifted as I found I was taking the project too literal and was out of line with the criterium. In which I decided to make this my own and played around with the different ways the podcast could fit into the timeline I had wanted. After I had decided on the order, I had started to script everything out and didn’t know how to transition between each podcast. Quickly I have found myself just talking into the microphone describing each podcast instead of scripting each one out. Although I definitely had a rough script It was nothing to what a ton of my biggest projects, I felt like I was finally understanding what this project was truly about and that was that this is meant to showcase our talents, this meant that I had the opportunity to display how I had wanted to be seen and or heard for a better use of words. In conclusion this project was difficult but after some rough outlining I feel like I finally understand the full process of a podcast and how its strengths can be used. Blog posts such as these have become helpful in describing how I wanted the podcast to go especially when breaking down the smaller podcasts such as the soundscape projects.
